Recycling Schedule: 2007
Please be advised that beginning Wednesday, July 11, collection for recycling will occur every Wednesday. There we no longer be regular garbage pick up on Wednesdays
Place all newspapers & cardboard tied & bagged at your curbside. Place all recycling at curbside. Men will return all garbage containers to the location on premises where found.
NOTES:
Corrugated boxes must be broken into flat pieces, secured with twine and placed
next to newspapers. Corrugated boxes used for shipping and packaging are to be
included: lighter weight cardboard such as cereal boxes or gift boxes are not
included.
Yard waste bagged or bundled will be picked up a curbside every garbage day. There will be no yard waste pick up on recycling days.

Garbage: Garbage is collected six days per week exclusive of Sunday. Except on alternate Wednesday's where it alternates with recycling items. Collection will be made from rear of house. Garbage should be stored in closed leak proof metallic or plastic cans at rear or side location on the premises. Containers should be water tight with tight fitting covers to weigh with contents not more than 75 lbs. No collection will be made inside the house or garage. During periods of snow, the resident is required to provide a cleared path to the location of the garbage. Garbage is to be collected from one location only. Note: Yard Waste bagged or bundled will be picked up at curbside every garbage day. There will be no yard waste pick up on recycling days. Rubbish: Such material is to be stored in closed containers when possible and is to be placed at the curb for collection. All refuse must be kept separate from garbage. Each container should not weigh more than 75 pounds. Branches and sticks should be tied in bundles weighing not more than 50 lbs. and should not be over 3 feet in length. Rubbish and garbage are collected at the same time according to the schedule. Please do not put out until evening before pickup and please limit to 8 bags or baskets on any one day. Large Items: Time of collection: Excluded Items: Hazardous waste, infectious medical waste and volatile materials. Also, any materials resulting from construction or renovation of the premises by contractors, including plaster, bricks, broken asphalt, concrete, granite, marble, other stone and stoneware's porcelain, mortar, terra cotta, lime, gypsum, asbestos, pipes (pipes and wrought iron are recyclable when delivered directly to the Town's facility) and scrap lumber. Also excluded are large amounts of rubbish generated by any accumulated clean-up or residential moving operation which will be considered the same as contractor's materials. Hazardous Materials: |
