I grew up on Westminster Road ...house backed up to Iowa road...big white
house...many fond memories of my younger years up there..back in 1959-1962..went
to Lakeville...watched Sandy Becker...and had a wonderful life as a child there.
Love this site...many thanks and feel free to contact me
Nice to see picture of Lakeville School that not only my mother and father attended in 1900s but also many family members.
Great website. Will the Village Code ever be available online?
Nice picture of the hotel! Missing from your site, however, is reference to Hannah Townsend Chisolm, who ran the hotel.
VERY IMPRESSIVE..MAYOR BERNSTEIN AND TO THINK, I KNEW YOU WHEN
Hi, I was just doing some surfing today and I thought I'd see what would come up in Yahoo about my childhood home of Lake Success. So I found yer page and it brought back many great memories. I miss my house on 14 Vanderbilt Dr., perfectly located across from the wonderful park and pool. I lived there from age 0-18. Today I live in the great if not slightly strange state of vermont where my folks decided to run off and operate a country Inn back in 1994. I'm 27 now, and I hope that one day I will be able to return to Lake success and maybe like many kids before me, fufill that all to silly dream of reaquiring my childhood home that i miss so much. :) Take care, and could you folks possibly get some pictures of the new (and old) village court/park/pool, and maybe even my old house up on the site :)
I think the site is terrific. However, there should have been some mention of the brunch on February 1.
Is there a reason why there are no addresses of any public places on your site? I can't even find the zip code.
great to see the improvements on the golf course. we really miss playing at lake success
I was hoping that this site would provide email addresses for commissioners so that they can be contacted being called at home. Is that possible?
Any of my old friends that we haven't seen in years drop me line and let me know how your doing.
To whom it may concern, Buddy and I thank you all for the kind words, respect, and support bestowed upon us over the years.
Hi, I am interested in any history, photos or memorabilia of the old Lake Success Police Emergency Squad. The "Squad" was an all volunteer unit that was organized (I think) during WW2 and continued well into the late 60's, early 70's and was alerted to emergency calls through 3 outdoor warning sirens. Their "emergency truck was stored in one of the two "green" garages on Vanderbilt. If anyone has any info whatsoever, please drop me a line. Thanks so much!
Hi Sue et al, I love the site! It's wonderful to be able to read all about the place I grew up on the web. I wanted to wish you and all of Lake Success a healthy and happy 2002. Best Regards, Dan Blitz (Anita and Wally's son)
