FRIDAY MIXED TEAM TOURNAMENT

Our 9-hole tournament pits couples against the field. Play as many Fridays as you like. Play with any couple entered in the tournament. Choose your best 3 net best ball 9 hole rounds. Entry fee of $20 per player pays for prizes at end of the season.

OPENING DAY SCRAMBLE
18 Holes - Mixed Flights

  Four-man teams and times by luck of the draw. Players with a USGA Handicap Index of 14.4 or less play from Blue tees. Permission to play from Gold tees may be granted to certain players by the Tournament Committee. All players tee off and proceed to the best tee shot - teams must use at least 3 tee shots by each player. All players hit from the selected tee shot and then proceed to selected second shot. Play continues in this fashion until the team holes out. Ties will be decided by a match of cards from hole 1. Pro Shop certificates awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.

all play from white tees

  Entry fee $20 per team. Pick your own partner. Limited to players with handicap index no lower than 5.0 or higher than 24.0. Total team index cannot exceed 40.0. Play at 90% of home handicap. Ties for low net decided by sudden death playoff. Winners get names on plaque and advance to the Long Island Sectional Round to be played at the Old Vine Golf Club on June 4th. The final round will be held on June 26th at the Mount Kisco Country Club.

  Field divided into Flights of 16 or fewer, at discretion of Tournament Marshal. Flights determined by the index of entrants as of Friday, May 4, the date that entries close. Seedings for all matches in Flight will be determined by index on sign up date. Lowest 16 will play in 1st Flight, next 16 in 2nd Flight, etc. Each round is 18-hole best ball match at 100% handicap differential between the players. Matches will be posted May 9th. Starting times assigned by Tournament Marshal for the first round (May 17 & 18) and Semi-Final and Final Rounds (May 31 & June 1st). Opponents in opening round matches may agree to play their match on or before Sunday May 18th. The consent of the lead marshal is required.

Make your own foursomes of guys & gals. Teams connected at dinner following the round. Play at combined total of blind-draw partners' scores less 100% full combined handicaps. Entry fee (to be announced) includes dinner. Winner and runner-up awards.

Pick your own partner (single entries will be paired by luck of the draw). Foursomes in Flight. Starting times by luck of the draw for stroke play qualifying round to be played at 90% handicap. Ties in qualifying round (using handicaps) will play sudden death. Subsequent match play rounds at 100% of difference off low handicap. Ties decided by sudden death. Winner and runner-up trophies in each Flight.

Note: For 8 teams to qualify in Flight, at least 10 teams must enter the qualifying round. If fewer than 10 teams enter, only 4 teams will qualify. If appropriate, the Committee may decide to commence match play on June 8th.

RED, WHITE & BLUE
MIXED TEAM SCRAMBLE

  At least one person from each couple must be a club member.

Sign up as a couple or individual. Foursomes of 2 men and 2 women. Teams play a scramble format. Players tee off from assigned tees. Six holes are played from the red tees, six from the white tees and six from the blue tees. All players tee off and proceed to best tee shot. All players hit from the selected shot and then proceed to the best 2nd shot. Play continues in this fashion until the team holes out. At least three tee shots from each man and three tee shots from each woman must be used. Teams will be handicapped. Players without a USGA handicap will be assigned a handicap by the tournament marshals.

CANADIAN TWO PEAT
Scramble 9 holes, Pinehurst 9 holes

  2-Man Teams; Pick partner in or out of Flight. For handicap purposes and team scoring, this is played as one 18-hole event. If Player 1 handicap = 22 and Player 2 handicap = 18, 90% of team handicap = 18 (average of handicaps) for entire 18 holes. Blue tees for handicap Index of 14.4 or less. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd low net and 1st & 2nd low gross.

Scramble Rules: Holes 1 through 9, played at 90% of average of both handicaps. Each player tees off and proceeds to the best tee shot. Each player hits from the selected shot, then proceeds to the best second shot. Play continues in this manner until team holes out. At least three tee shots from each player must be used. Low net score goes toward 18-hole total.

Pinehurst Rules: Holes 10 through 18, played at 90% of average of both handicaps. On par 4 and 5 holes, each partner hits a tee shot. Players hit partner’s ball, then select one as “team ball.” Players then alternate shots until team ball is holed. On par 3’s, both players tee off. Partners select one tee shot and then alternate shots until team ball is holed. (Low Net Score).

Defending Club Champion, Gerry Garber, gets a bye and first seed in Championship Flight. Flight l players with indexes over 6.4, not declaring for Championship Flight, play in Flight I. Qualifying rounds are stroke play, subsequent rounds match play.

Flights l, II, III, and IV: All flights will qualify eight.
Ties for last spots in qualifiers play sudden death. Match of cards as recommended in the Rules of Golf, will be used for seeding purposes only. Trophies awarded to low medalists by Flight.

PARENT/CHILD TOURNAMENT
18 Holes - Pinehurst

  We invite all Members of the Men's and Women's Clubs to bring a relative to this tournament. Members may bring either a parent, child, grandparent, or grandchild (or any in-law or out-law of the preceding) to compete in this event.

On all holes, each partner hits a tee shot, then hits partner's ball. One ball is then selected as the "team ball," and players hit alternate shots until the ball is holed out. Maximum score is double par on any hole. Trophies will be awarded each to winners and runners-up for low gross and Calloway.

On par 4 and par 5 holes, each partner hits a tee shot, then hits partner's ball. Best ball is then selected as the "team ball.” Players then alternate shots until the team ball is holed. On par 3 holes, partners select one tee shot and then alternate shots until the team ball is holed. Winner and runner-up trophies for low gross and low net.

Each two-man team plays home and away 18 hole best ball matches over two days against the same opponents. Partners and matches are in flight. Each match each day will be for four points, one for the front, one for the back and two for overall. There are a total of 256 points at stake over the two days.

  Field divided into two divisions: Blue (handicap index through 14.4) and White (handicap index 14.5 and above). Points based on net scores at 100% of handicap. (Double Eagle = 8 pts, Eagle = 5 pts, Birdie = 3 pts, Par = 1 pt, Bogey = 0 pts, Double Bogey - -1 pt, other = -2 pts.)

Trophies for 1st and 2nd place in each division. (Ties share prize)
